Setting an A Record
When a domain is created through easyDNS, a parked page is created, and the A record points to the easyDNS webserver.
When you are ready to point it to a website, and your web hosting company has provided you with an IP address (52.39.109.56) for the site, click on Edit to begin.
The DNS root domain is always represented in the 'Host' field by the @. A wildcard record (one that resolves any host that doesn't actually have an A record listed) is represented by an asterisk *.
Erase 'PARK' from the IP field on the right and replace it with 52.39.109.56, the IP address.
When you click Next, it will show you what the new settings are and ask you to confirm.
- Once you click confirm, the change will be saved, and easyDNS will update your zone file accordingly. The changes will take effect immediately for some, but may take a few hours to propagate.
