Setting an A Record

Setting a custom A record is only available if you already added a custom domain to your blog.

Your domain’s settings live under Store → Domains in your dashboard. Every custom domain you added to your blog will have an Edit Domain link next to it.

• Click on Edit Domain to open the domain management screen
  
• Click on Edit DNS on the left to see your DNS records
  
• Go to Existing DNS Records
  
• Click on the pencil icon to edit the DNS record
  
• Confirm that you want to edit the A record by clicking on OK
  
• Enter 52.39.109.56 (the IP address) in the Points to field
  
• Click Add
  
• Confirm the correct IP address (52.39.109.56)
  
• Click Save Changes
  

The domain will start pointing to your new host immediately after you save your changes.
